Shakespeare pictures by Richard Young

As a child or youth I had no interest in the theatre although curiously I loved films especially the B movies of the 30's and 40's that Hollywood churned out. I have always liked words and these feature in my paintings, some people feel that they intrude, really they arose out of a habit of placing the titles at the bottom of the painting to give viewers a better perspective of what I was thinking about when I did the work.
